Plant / Service Info
The most common problem with trees in the valley is that they are planted too deeply. All tree trunks should flare at the base. If a tree does not flare at the bottom it is planted too deeply.
In this picture the flare is pointed out. The dirt on the trunk shows how much of the trunk was covered when it came from the nursery.
Be sure to check your tree trunk for flare before you plant it!
Be sure to keep your receipt and if you purchase a tree with a problem like this return it.
Joseph's Coat Roses
Roses frequently need iron added to the soil in addition to the regular fertilizer that you use.
